Polishing balls and grinding balls

Polishing balls are used to smooth and polish workpieces. In barrels or vibrators, the polishing balls glide over their surfaces and polish them.

Grinding balls are used, for example, in ball mills in the food industry to shred food. Other applications include the shreding of cement, coal or paint pigments.

Polishing and grinding balls are made of the following materials, depending from the application and intended use:

• 1.3505 – chrome steel
• 1.0413 – C 15
• 1.0616 – C85
• 1.4034 – AISI 420C
• 1.4301
• 1.4401
